Master Van Zile founded Great Lakes Global TaeKwon-Do in 1997. She holds a Bachelors of Education Degree, with concentrations in Athletic Training as well as Child Growth and Development. Master Van Zile has dedicated her life to teaching. Master Van Zile is known for her knowledge about different learning styles and how to accommodate different types of students. In seminars she shows how to use this information in breaking down the skills for the student to master Taekwon-do more easily.
Master Van Zile has competed at the National and International level winning Gold in Sparring and medaling in Patterns and breaking. She has had the privileged to take students to 7 different World Championships and all have medaled at these events. In 2007 her son and students won Jr. Overall competitor and Overall team. In 2018 in Argentina her five competitors won 16 medals from gold to bronze.
